i’m a freshmen and i am undeclared; i am transferring in the spring and want to have a double major. i am going to major in marketing but i also want to major in biology. i hope to become a orthodontist one day and i was wondering, can i go to dental school if i major in biology? [or chemistry?]
Unless there’s a pre-dental or pre-med program, bio or chem would be best.
And, may I suggest, rather than majoring in marketing, study business or finance or accounting instead. If you want to be a dentist, a clever marketing campaign can be purchased but you’ll need to be able to read your own books so you can make sure your office manager or partners aren’t stealing from you.
I know a doctor who is an OB-GYN. These have been sued out of existence in nearby counties, but this one was clever. He earned his J.D. and MBA, and sat for an passed the bar. When he gets sued for something, he can tell quickly whether it is ludicrous or meaningful, and he can defend himself quite well against the former.

yea you probably could go into dental with a bio major. but to get more details, you should talk to any premed counselors at ur college, they probably know stuff about dental schools too and what courses u need and what you can major in and stuff. im not in college yet, but that is what my college friends so far have told me
